It seems like today there are more rappers in the game than ever, and it’s difficult to keep up with them, so I don’t. However, ever y now and then I hear some fresh music from an unknown rapper that makes me pay attention. It’s rare, but it does happen. Recently, I stumbled across a rapper/producer that goes by the name Jay Who? He’s straight out of Chicago making his way through the underground hip-hop scene. Remember, when rap music was actually fun and carefree? Jay seems to be trying to rekindle that flavor from the 90s golden era with his creative song concepts, and unorthodox sample choices used in his production. His style actually reminds me of early J-Zone and vintage Beatnuts. If you like those artists, then Mr. Who definitely deserves your immediate attention. Hell, even if you don't like or know those artists I mentioned, listen to Jay Who? anyway dammit!

I love it when new artists (or any artist for that matter) provides free music for all to enjoy. It's actually a great way to get your name out there when you are on the come up.

Checkout two Jay Who? albums for the price of nothing below:

Where The Sidewalk Ends (2008)

The Light In The Addict (2009)

After koppin' the joints, go to Jay's sites and show your appreciation:
