If you're like me, you've been anticipating this Method Man & Redman hip-hop reunion for years now. The only other reunions that I'm still waiting for at this point are, Black Star (Mos Def & Talib Kweli) and Gang Starr (Guru & DJ Premier). I guess one out of three isn't bad. Since these two veteran emcees have been out of the limelight for a spell, some may be wondering if they still have the gift of gab. Well, worry no more. Judging by their first single from the "Blackout! 2" album entitled "A-Yo" featuring Canadian rapper Saukrates, they haven't lost a verse. Honestly, it's refreshing to hear some emcees on the mic that are actually rhyming! It's sad to say, but most of the rap records on the airwaves these days are just chants and annoyingly-catchy hooks. Hip-hop definitely needs this burst of adrenaline. The new album drops on May 19th, so keep your ears open, and support good music...

Put eyes on the new "A-Yo" video:
